I am basking in the holiday spirit radiating from this post! Thanks for coordinating such a fab show, Neil.
I’m tellin’ ya…BLOGHER TRIO WITH SARAH AND THE GOONSQUAD. (Hee!)
Christmalhijrahanukwanzaakah ’11: WATCH OUT! 🙂
Happy everything, Neil!
http://deutschlanduberelvis.com/blog/2010/12/grinch-relents.html
I am feeling the holiday spirit. Thanks for hosting!
I wish there was a comment box for every single video… as I work my way through them I am floored by how talented, funny, or touching they are in their own special way.
Kristen’s (Rage Against the Minivan) video about bringing their adopted son home from Haiti had me absolutely in tears of joy. Neil, you had me in giggles. Lotus, you are naughty and Santa is going to have to spank you. Anna, the Lefler Holidaytastic hat is going to give me nightmares. Nightmares that might make me wet the bed laughing so hard. CecilyK gets special props for best use of eyebrows in a performance.
I’ll be back with more after I watch the rest!
Wow!!! This is going to keep me coming back all week. Thanks for doing this. So much work for you, so much fun for us.
Yes! I can’t wait to go through all of these. You’re awesome for doing this Neil. I guess Eloise and I didn’t make the cut? Love your hat.
nevermind – now I see that I what I sent you was a split second of our video. We’ll try again next year.
That was awesome. I watched more of them than seems humanly possible at 730a. This is my first concert, so thank you, Neil.
Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic, my favorite holiday event of the year! I have to go watch each one again but they were all amazing. Oy, “Rage Against the Minivan’s” story of their baby from Haiti? I was sobbing. (Can they adopt me, too?) And multiple versions of my favorite song, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside?” Heaven! But my top pick for this year just may be yours, Neil. Only you could find a Hanukkah song with such a message. You are fearless!
Sorry my family’s vocals aren’t part of this year’s concert but…WE SHALL RETURN!
This is absolutely fantastic.
Whoa! Shawn (Backpacking Dad!) has a PHENOMENAL voice!
Thanks for this labor of love, Neil.
Neil, what a fabulous stage manager/producer you are. And what a talented cast working for you!
Talent definitely abounds among your readers. I loved all the videos and photos, but what stood out for me were: “Christmas in O’Hare” (I thought I was hearing Michael Feinstein do an American standard song); “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” by Kristen of Rage Against the Minivan (that certainly had me in tears); and your tune and video. (I see we’d get along really well; you also leave kitchen cupboards open; my hubby hates when I do that)
Bravo, Neil. Bravo, everyone. Have yourselves a wonderful holiday season.
P.S. Has your mom yelled at you yet for leaving all the kitchen cabinets open in your video?
This is fabulous, Neil!! I have only watched about 8 of them and everyone did such a good job! Thank you for putting this together. I’ll be back later to see all the rest.
I know what I’ll be doing every night this week – what talented people, and what fun to have so much to look forward to.
Wow. Great turnout for this thing. Thanks for putting this together.
Hello, Neil.
I cannot believe how incredibly awesome this is! Seriously, this must have taken you an unbelievable amount of time—and for all of that, I thank you.
I’ll be back to make further comments…I just wanted to let you know how thankful I am that you would do such a thing.
As always, an awesome show by all.
So. Wonderful. I’m so happy, impressed, enthralled, amazed. Your annual tradition is something wonderful, Neil.
Sorry, comments were down. Up now.
That was something truly special. Bravo.
That was so great! Thanks for putting it together!
There were a lot of outstanding contributions this year – it seems to grow exponentially every year!
Now in the spirit of commercialism and Christmas, we should have a contest and make people jockey for votes to see who gets chosen as the best contributor to win an iPad.
This makes me laugh and laugh and laugh every year. It’s inspired. Thanks for included us, and Happy Christmahana what ever it is.
I covet your hat.
And Jenn Mattern.
And Chookooloonks.
Heck, I love them all and wish I could take everyone home and force them to sing to me for hours on end. Great job Neil. Thanks for doing this again.
What a beautiful, hilarious, moving, absurd, heartwarming event. Baby, it’s cold outside, but it’s toasty-warm over here. Bless you for taking the time to put this together, Neil. Bravo to everyone! I am inspired to 1) learn the ukulele 2) learn how to subtitle 3) learn how to, uh, sing.
I loved being a part of this concert, and have been waiting for it since last year when I watched all the videos over and over again. I’ll be doing the same this year, too.
Thank you for hosting this event, Neil. XOXO
Bravi, everyone! I am now moist with holiday cheer.
happy holidays! 🙂
And the best performance of the whole concert? Neil himself! Well done! Even if you made me a tiny bit dizzy.
It’s the most wonderful time of the (bloggity) year!
I love this concert, Neil.
Good work, as always! xo
And?
Your video is making me pee myself.
HA!
Neil, your song absolutely made my day.
I read the title, gasped, and pleaded, “Please please please be what I think that is.”
And it was!
So awesome. Thank you. 🙂
You did an amazing job putting this concert together! Happy holidays!
Such awesome talent!!! I am loving Lotus & Swonderful’s songs! WOW!
Steph
This is the true spirit of the season… giving all you can for the enjoyment, if that’s what you call it, of others, reaching out and sharing…. Seriously, quite a few of you are actually very talented! Okay, well some of you.. okay a couple… but that’s not the point, thanks for bringing me into your homes, the laughs and the smiles, and for reminding me that there are other people in the world as tone deaf as myself 😉
….. Happy Holidays to each and every one of you – you’re all wonderful!!
This made my day… especially Erin & Tracey. mwah!
we love you Neilochka. BIG BIG Love from the frozen tundra!
Wonderful! Thanks for all the hard work that you and all the contributors put in to this!
Svivon sof sof sof…LOVE U and thanks for putting this together! Merry christmalhijrahanukwanzaakah!!
Loved your Pete Burns turn, Neil. And what’s with the cupboard doors?
Watched a few so far – Breed’Em and Weep and her Mum were fantastic. Could see their mother/daughter dynamic right there.
What a great show.
Happy Holidays!
Backpacking Dad knocked my favorite holiday song out of the park. These are so awesome. I’ll probably keep commenting each time I listen to a new one. Thanks for doing this Neil. I just love participating!
I’d tease you about spelling my name wrong but, DUDE. This must have taken you DAYS to put together.
Love, love, love it. Thanks for hosting it every year, Neil. 🙂
holy magical, Neil. Thank you for doing this.
*kicks self for not joining in*
There’s a whole lotta talent and funny going on ’round here.
I must say that I was already in love with Swonderful and now I love her even more.
And Kristen? Mrs. Howerton? speechless.
Oh my… some of you are hella talented. And those of you aren’t so much? You are my heroes. I loved this so much.

Awesome awesome awesome. Each year better than the last. Thanks for hosting us all at your place. I hope no one spilled anything on your rug.
Can hardly stand so much charm in one place. So Cute.

To all the contributors, thanks for sharing a little piece of yourself for a very touching, wacky, eclectic Christmalhijrahanukwanzaakah!
Neil, thank you very much for organizing such an entertaining mash up of all things good. P.S. Your hat is the new black!
This is the highlight of my Christmas season… after the nog.
Well done everyone!
Damn fine job to one and all and thanks Neil for bringing it all together.
I laughed, I cried and I am amazed at the talent and bravery of you all.
You made me feel the holiday spirit for the first time this season and for that I am grateful
Blessings to all and a Happy New Year,
KAren

Wow! That was great!!
Unbelievably awesome. Thanks for hosting this again this year! (And who knew so many people could play the ukelele?!?)
I always love this. And always declare that next year I will do it. (Next year I will do it)
Wow, everyone was so entertaining. Now I feel like a dope for getting too caught up in things to remember to record mine. Grr.
Thank you all for your Christmas contributions.

Utterly charming
Awww! So much fun. Thanks for doing this, Neil. The Monkey showed it to her whole class THREE times. They thought it was hilarious.

Thank you thank you thank you.
Just such a wonderful annual event. I can’t begin to decide what my favorite part is.

So much awesome! Thank you to everyone that contributed! And a huge thank you to Neil for putting this together!
What they said above. Well done, all of you!
Love it – I made my video in 5 mins and rushed it over. Figured better bad than not at all. Thank you for doing such a beautiful round-up. A perfect community spirit!
Amazing — great work, Neil! Christmalhijrahanukwanzaakah lives! Wonderful efforts from all the participants. Here’s to a blessed season and a happy, healthy 2011 for everyone.
Neil, you are so great at bringing everyone together. I LOVE this, and although I’m a flake and never got my video made I appreciate you putting one of my photos in. (Actually it worked out for the best – I didn’t make anyone’s ears bleed!) Great job to all the participants and Neil – you’re a champ for pulling it all together! xo
So very awesome! What talent! Like Pauline said – what a great community! Next year, Neil, I’ll sing a proper song!
Thanks for putting this together! xo
Amazeballs, everyone did fantastic!
Wow, this is amazing. I love our community so much 🙂 Happy Holidays 🙂
Thank you Neil for hosting yet another great party! True story: I let my son pick a video to watch (before bedtime) he picked YOURS! 🙂 We had fun! I just have one question: What’s up with the cabinet doors all open?! Were you frantically looking for something before the taping? 🙂
Happy Christmalhijrahanukwanzaakah! And to the atheists and agnostics like myself, happy Winter Solstice! And Happy New Year everybody! Woohoo!
Bravo!!
Finally finished checking out EVERYONE. It was so fun to watch and see. The whole event really just had a wide and open spirit. And so glad to participate (even though it completely blew my Monday afternoon and I swear the key was just a little too high… or something).
Thanks to Neil for putting it together, and thanks to all the participants. So many talented bloggers! You have put the cheer in our holiday.
wow. i LOVE this. thank you all – this is amazing!! xoxo

I think it’s amazing and wonderful that you do this every year, Neil. Thanks for hosting it – I’ve had a great time listening to each of these performances for the past few days. What a great community of people, sharing with each other and spreading the joy of the season. I had to wipe more than one tear during the times I was watching/listening.
Thanks to everyone who contributed! I really enjoyed this.
Oh, this is just too good.
I watched each and every one! Some made me laugh and some made me cry. Thank you!
Great! Enjoyed Karen singing. However, she isn’t singing Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town–she’s singing Santa, Baby.
Good job, fellow bloggers!! Thanks for hosting this Neil!
Wow–some of these folks are really talented! And others…they really tried hard!
Oh how I loved this. In every way. The good. The bad. And the ugly. Errrrr, I mean pretteh. Thanks Neil, you’re awesome. XOXOX’s to you and all the participants.
Woweeeee this is amazing! I just discovered this via ‘Wellington Road’ blog and her contribution to the concert.
I’m going to take my time to enjoy some of the performances with my daughters. Fabulous!
Thanks for putting all this together. We have a little Christmas Eve ‘family show’ every year and the children love dancing and singing. So lovely to enjoy some good ‘ole family fun without relying on the dire television! 🙂
Here’s our Christmas Eve family show – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSSOFQUJpnI
