the writing and photography of Neil Kramer

Why Not?

I had a nice weekend with Sophia. Tonight we are sitting in separate rooms. She is in the bedroom, playing online poker on her laptop. I am in my office, writing this nonsense, in between stints on Twitter and Facebook.

There is no conflict between us, between man and woman. It is just a time for reflection, like Yom Kippur. We just want to be alone.

Last week, I vacuumed the house, and when I was done, I left the vacuum standing in the center of my office, still plugged into the wall. It was a passive-aggressive move against myself. I would finish the job, but not quite.

The vacuum is still standing there, in front of the bookcase, like a statue.

I love this post so much. Is that wrong of me? I don’t care. OK, maybe I do. (A little.)

I love this post because you are just talking. It is real. I, too, am rethinking what I want to do and where I want to go as far as blogging is concerned. Ha! I have been doing that for over a year now. Yet, I think I finally have figured it out.

I know that no matter what you do it will be original. Rebels are cool!

  4. Worst post ever. Congrats.

Yeah the whole interview thing failed me. I interviewed TWO people. And NO ONE ever did me. Your readers are slackers.

    🙂

Oh sure, now I have to head over to LinkedIn and remove the reference that says I was Blog Crush of the Day five or more times.

    I am crushed.

I am sure no one will hire me for work now.

But if you called me collect from a jail in Mexico, I’d still accept the charges. I probably wouldn’t post bail, but I’d definitely write about it. :/

Nooooooo!! I’ve never been your Blog Crush! You can’t get rid of it YET!! : )

Sometimes, I just want to reach through the screen and hug you.

    Heather — You’re sweet.

TwentyFour — I never made you a blog crush? Hmm…

Though it makes me sad that I’ll never again be your blog crush of the day, on the other hand, GOOD FOR YOU. When it comes to your blog, you spend way too much time worrying about other people.

But I hope you keep your Xmas concert going–the best part of the (blogging) holidays!

I don’t think you realize how much it meant to many people to be your blog crush. You stroked, encouraged and validated several bloggers. Thank you on behalf of everyone.

I think you should do whatever you want to do. Your decisions/direction will be “right” no matter what they are.

I’m glad you had a nice weekend with Sophia. 🙂

What’s funny is that I read posts like that all the time. And those writers don’t think it is terrible writing.

that’s kind of neat that you admitted to your PA behavior. it causes major damage in relationships, especially if the person that does it won’t own up to it. for me, i’ve grown weary of the anger that’s behind it.
