I agree with your friend Elizabeth, kiss. You may want to start being grateful for more something more or less tangible? For example: I’m grateful I woke up today in the same health I went to sleep with. I’m grateful that driver decided to stop, let me in, or whatever. I’m grateful the gal/guy at the store was so pleasant. I’m grateful the weather is so temperate. So on and so forth. You don’t have to find 25 states of grateful the first day, start with one and be happy. More will follow.
Finally, don’t mix gratefulness with likes/dislikes, I think this may be your block. You can do it!
