Citizen of the Month

the writing and photography of Neil Kramer

Glass Half-Full

Here is a video of the piece I read at the “Listen to Your Mother” show at Symphony Space in NYC in May.   I met so many wonderful people because of that experience.    You can also see the other videos from the show on the same YouTube page.

  1. So wonderful. Loved it, and love your mom. 🙂

  2. Such a great job. I’m still laughing!!

  3. Very funny piece. Good timing too. Glad to have been able to finally see it.

  4. That was genuinely sweet and funny. Well done!

  5. You have great comedic timing. Which sounds like a totally ridiculous thing for me to say, but it’s true. You had me laughing hysterically. Your mom sounds awesome.

So, here’s the weird thing. The really, really weird thing. Never once in all the reading. Being a New York Jew and Columbia grad myself did I ever stop and think you had a New York accent.

I feel so deflated. And I don’t even know why…

  7. What a sweet tribute to your mom. I’m sure she had more to say than your shirt was nice, because I heard a lot of love in those words.
