I remember lifeguarding back in 1999 and asking a bunch of kids if they liked Michael or Janet Jacksons music better and they said, “Who are they?” I about fell into the water with SHOCK!!! That is the first time I remember feeling old…

Also… Michael was dead to me when he went white… just sayin.

Amazing talent lost. Don’t care about his personal life. The man never had a childhood and what he did have was tragic.

I pray he isn’t judged to harshly in the afterlife.

His talent and his issues are two different things. And while his issues I cannot understand or comment on, the talent of that little boy who sang and danced his heart out in the Rockin’ Robin video is something I will mourn.

I’m glad no other children will be harmed. I’m sorry that we live in a society that deifies celebrity to the point where not even being a pedophile or a murderer is enough to take the shine off. It appalls me to know that if it were one of the “fans” neighbors who gave wine and jack-off lessons to a kid, they’d be out for blood…but if it’s Michael Jackson, then oh well — he’s just a guy who never really grew up and was a little screwy in the head.
