Goodbye to Trash (The Song)

Our reunion was great.   Sophia was impressed with my cleaning, liked my flowers… but Sophia is already in bed with the flu!

Still, as promised, what could be scarier on Halloween than hearing me sing?

Goodbye to Trash (in mp3)

Oh gawd… he sings! And talks!

I hope the flowers didn’t make her sick!

  2. awww, hope she feels better, guess you now have to play doctor.
(and my name is jane and i LOVE target too!!! missed it first time around, loved it this time though)

  3. kristen says:

Of course Sophia’s sick. You can’t travel across the country with all those disgusting breath germs in a flying tunafish can and not get sick, poor lady. For what it’s worth, I heart thera flu.

  4. kristen says:

Ok, that song took me back to my childhood when we’d go to the mall and inside the music store, there was the man playing the electronic organ, with the snazzy beat in the background.
I love your accent ~ it cracks me right up!

  5. Kevin says:

    You need so much help.

  6. jenny says:

Well now you get to show her your sensitive side (as if the mop-dancing weren’t enough) by making her chicken soup.

Lovely song – can I get it on iTunes yet?

  7. Becky says:

    I have no words.

  8. justrungirl says:

Well, now that that’s out of your system, go take care of your wife!

  9. Becky says:

Oh! I forgot to say “HOORAY” for reunions! Even the flu filled kind. Be good to each other and enjoy being together again.

  10. orieyenta says:

OMG! I had a crappy beginning of my day and after this I won’t be able to stop giggling all day. Even in her flu-like state, hopefully Sophia is getting as much enjoyment out of it!

  11. Two Roads says:

That song and the mop video are romance! Bring it on! Hoping all continues to go well!

  12. DebR says:

    Wow! Really, um, just…Wow!

    Hope Sophia feels better soon.

  13. Danny says:

Man, you have guts! And that’s about 90% of having a successful music career so I see big things in your future. How the heck did you do that? I demand at least one song a month, that is too good.

    WELCOME HOME, Sophia…and feel better!

  14. Felicity says:

OMFG. Neil. Jesus. A) You have such a deep voice. I love it. Love it, you hear me? If Sohpia doesn’t feel well enough to put out, let me know. B) Despite living in Cali, I can *hear* that New Yawk accent. It’s unmistakable.
OMG, I am so grinning from ear to ear right now. Thanks for taking the time to record this song. LOL LOL LOL

  15. Mo says:

I love how you say “floor” in that New Yawk accent “floweh”. Hee hee. Now I want to hear you and Sophia talking(singing!) together- her with her accent and you with yours. That’d be cool. Once she’s well, of course.

  16. Rhea says:

You sounded a lot like the original song. Very cool. Hope the reunion continues to go swimmingly.

  17. Churlita says:

Damn! I can’t listen to it until I get home. But at least you got Sophia into bed.

Tell her get well for me. There is bad Juju going on all over. Everyone I know is sick. Maybe you can put on a sexy nurses uniform with the monkey panties and see what happens when she gets better…

  18. Edgy Mama says:

Forget the writing. You have a singing and songwriting career ahead of you.

Can I be your costume designer?

  19. V-Grrrl says:

    Neil,

For once, I’m at a loss. A complete loss.

  20. Dating Dummy says:

    William Hung, watch out.

  21. fringes says:

I’d have married you, too, Neil.

  22. paintergirl says:

    You have made my day!

  23. Rach2 says:

    Mo,

If you want to hear Sophia sing, go here:

I think she was sick with a flu when she sang it then. Was it a year ago, Neil?

  24. laurie says:

Oh. My. Gawd. This was beyond dorky-cute. I’m with Fringes… I would have married you too. Even though you’re such a Yankee!! ;)

  25. Dana says:

Whoa! Move over, Al Yankovic! I love the way you harmonize with you.

    Get better, Sophia!

  26. NSC says:

Congrats to Neil for having Sophia home. I am sorry she is sick though – I hope you feel better Sophia :)

Oh yes, I forgot to mention – keep your day job, Neil – you sing worse than me and that is pretty darn bad – LOL

  27. sandra says:

But at least she’s sick in a clean house?

  28. Annie D. says:

That made me smile and cringe at the same time.

  29. do you still want to learn how to make a balloon hat?

  30. echo says:

Neil, that really make me smile and laugh. I’m not sure if that’s the reaction you were going for, but thanks.

  31. Mo says:

    Rach2,
Thanks for the link to the earlier post. I enjoyed hearing Sophia. But my dream is a duet between Sophia and Neil. How cool would that be?!

  32. Neil says:

I hate to compliment myself, but I just listened to it for the first time today, and I think I sound pretty good. And I mixed four tracks, so I’m one step closer to becoming a professional music producer. Any job offers?

  33. Deborah says:

Hi Neil — what a fright!! You are a brave man for posting this song (but, what am I saying, this is the fellow who lets his penis blog for him!) Happy Halloween. I hope Sophia gets well soon. Cheers, JP

  34. Erin says:

WOW! Maybe you should guest on our Holiday album…

  35. Anne Arkham says:

    You’re nuts.
