My old chum there swore she would never marry a typical "Finnish man", so she married and divorced a nasty Swede instead. Her half-Finn/half-Swede son is now becoming exactly like all the Finnish men: self-absorbed, silent, helpless in the face of real-life chores, suffocated by his Finnish mother. Pathetic but... hilarious? The Irish? Don't get me started! My brother (50) is destroyed by my Mom's pampering.
