If you read all the way through, there is a statement in parenesis, it clearly states “These statements are here for humorous effect. The correct English is ‘noticed’ not ‘noticing’. If you are against interracial relationships, 2011 is not the year for you. You can’t put a halt on interracial dating, no one can. My advice is to tolerate interacial relationships, because one day your relative will marry someone outside their race.

Not to mention I’ve just turned 18 in March and not only am I in a interracial relationship to understand, I’ve been in them on and off for practically 4 years (if you count the serious ones).

Haha, I agree with Noel 100%. As long as people of different races have lived on the same continents, mixing and dating of the species have also occurred, whether you physically show it, your great grand-parents “failed to mention it” (hid it) or not. As Durriya stated, love IS blind (not shouting it, just making it clear). Movies were made for entertainment, to tell a story, to stretch the imagination and open up to new possibilities. Movies like “Something New” ect. seem horrible to people with opinions like yours because they’re used to seeing the same ol’ same ol’, white actors with white actors as lovers, and black actors with black and vise-verse. If Hollywood is your concern, interracial co-stars are not “ruining” Hollywood, or the movies they star in, the horrible writing and scripts of screenwriters do it. They’re only handing people what the close minded viewers still see as “odd” or “different”, therefore making it “wrong” or “bizarre”, because people aren’t up front about their relationships with other races in fear of judgment, leaving everyone else that are uninvolved STILL wondering, “How’s it work?”, “Are your parents o.k with it?” or “How do your friends feel about the relationship?”. THAT’S where these stupid movie idea’s come from, not color.

Are you serious? For the sake of Hollywood? Who cares about Hollywood! Love is love no matter if the person is not the same color or of the opposite sex. Hollywood=Money and money cannot buy love!

If you’re thinking about the impact this has on Hollywood, you really need to get your priorities in order. Interracial relationships are a real thing, and most of the current population wouldnt be here. And, this may be a shock to you but there may have been somone in your family history who had “jungle fever” and you may not have been here. The religion and race (and very cliche, may I add) comedy and love story is as old as it gets. YOu mentioned Shakespere (I suppose youre a fan, well even he wrote about an african lady he supposedly had an affair with (“Th Dark Lady”). I hate to break it to you (actually I dont), but these comedies probably wont die out, youre better off ignoring the movies or getting use to it.
