That top photo is interesting. The people seem to be running toward the balloons. The balloons, on the other hand, appear to be pulling back, with downturned mouths, as if in horror.

“What are you going to make us do now? Fly you wherever you wish? Cart you through the sky as if we were mere beasts of bulbous burden? We are not animals! We are balloooooooonssss!!!!”

It almost broke my heart.

Great pics, by the way. I especially like the semi-deflated balloon, with the big smile, sort of lying on his back as if he’s just thoroughly tanked on gin or something. (Or perhaps that’s a post-coital position? I’m not familiar with balloon sexual practices. But he does look merry and satisfied.)

What a beautiful sight! Right now I can’t help but think of the song that was a hit when I was a kid: “Would you like to ride in my beautiful balloon, would you like to glide in my beautiful balloon…?” by the Fifth Dimension.
